Setup Printers

Setup the library printers on your mobile device.

Install wireless printers on Mac

  • Make sure you are connected to the WU-Aux or Ichabods networks
  • Open System Preferences and click Printers & Scanners
  • Click the “+” button in the bottom left
  • In the window that opens, select the printer you want to add and click “Add” -lawwireless
  • The first time you print to the printer, it will ask for your Name and Password. Make sure to enter your full WU email address for Name and your WU email password for the Password.

Install wireless printers on Windows

  • Make sure you are connected to the WU-Aux or Ichabods network
  • Open a web browser and navigate to washburn.edu/printing
  • Scroll down on the webpage until you see the “Adding Student-Accessible Printers” heading and click "WINDOWS"
  • On the next webpage, under the video box, click "Click this link"
  • Click the downloaded file to run it and follow the prompts
  • Select LawWireless and click Next
  • For the username and password, use your full WU email address and password
  • Click Next and Finish

D2L: Washburn Law's online learning platform

At Washburn Law you'll use our online learning platform called D2L (Desire2Learn). From here you'll access your class information including assignments, quizzes, discussion boards and the associated grades. Your login credentials are your Washburn email address and password.

You won't need to access D2L for first week orientation activities, but the following tutorials can help acclimate you to D2L for your regular classes.

Additional tutorials are available in your D2L account under the "Online Student Resource Center" link near the top of the page. D2L support is available 24 hours a day by calling 866.888.1272.

MyWashburn

Students, faculty, and staff are automatically assigned MyWashburn accounts. MyWashburn is a portal that gives you access to information and resources necessary to participate within the Washburn community.  Resources include:

  • Access to the learning management system
  • Course registration
  • Student account credit card payments
What you see in the portal is dependent upon your role at the University.

  • 8GB RAM
  • 128GB Solid State Drive or 500GB Hard Disk Drive

  • Intel Core i5, or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU or better
  • 16GB RAM
  • 256GB Solid State Drive or larger

Mac:

Minimum requirements

  • macOS Monterey (version 12.0)
  • 2017 model or newer MacBook Air, or Pro
  • 8GB RAM
  • 128GB Solid State Drive

Recommended specifications for best performance

  • macOS Sonoma (version 14)
  • M2 or M3 MacBook Air or MacBook Pro
  • 16GB RAM
  • 256GB Solid State Drive or larger

Chromebooks are not recommended, and will not support a variety of specialty software you may encounter in your classes.
