Throughout the year, Washburn University School of Law offers Continuing Legal Education programs in a variety of areas of law and practice.
Offered in multiple locations, this two-day "Farm and Ranch Income Tax/Estate and Business Planning Seminar" is held in June and August each year. This program is appropriate for agribusiness professionals, attorneys, certified public accountants, enrolled agents, tax practitioners, and others interested in income tax and estate/business planning issues impacting farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners.
Washburn Law is proud of the expertise and skill of our faculty and alumni and a signature CLE event is the annual 12 hour program in late June each year. This event brings our faculty together to present a collection of CLE sessions on topics of their expertise. This event always includes on annual update on decisions from the United States Supreme Court as well as the ever popular, and required, two hours of ethics credit.
Beyond the annual program, we also offer CLE training from visiting practitioners and faculty as available. We welcome suggestions of CLE topics and presenters, and we encourage you to contact us at cle@washburn.edu in that regard.
