Normally a two (2) hour presentation will provide a current update (as of the date of the event) of current cases (and those being litigated) and rulings. Also addressed will be current IRS developments of relevance to the tax filing season including the issuance of any key Treasury Regulations that bear on the preparation last year's returns and newly issued or revised IRS Forms. Prof. McEowen examines what the future of tax policy could be in the next year.

Tax Ethics CLE

A CLE held each December

Each scenario will pose ethical issues for the practitioner and discussion will focus on the manner in which the client issues can or should be solved within the governing ethical guidelines and rules.

Washburn Law is proud of the expertise and skill of our faculty and alumni and a signature CLE event is the annual 12 hour program in late June each year. This event brings our faculty together to present a collection of CLE sessions on topics of their expertise. This event always includes on annual update on decisions from the United States Supreme Court as well as the ever popular, and required, two hours of ethics credit.

Beyond the annual program, we also offer CLE training from visiting practitioners and faculty as available. We welcome suggestions of CLE topics and presenters, and we encourage you to contact us at cle@washburn.edu in that regard.
