Legal community outreach

Throughout the year, Washburn University School of Law offers many Continuing Legal Education programs in a wide variety of areas of law and practice. As part of our legal community outreach, Washburn Law also often serves as a host site for non-profit legal groups to provide CLE and non-credit legal training for the legal community.

Washburn Law is proud of the expertise and skill of our faculty and alumni and a signature CLE event is the annual 12 hour program in late June each year. This event brings our faculty together to present a collection of CLE sessions on topics of their expertise. This event always includes on annual update on decisions from the United States Supreme Court as well as the ever popular, and required, two hours of ethics credit.

Beyond the annual program, we also offer CLE training from visiting practitioners and faculty as available. We welcome suggestions of CLE topics and presenters, and we encourage you to contact us at cle@washburn.edu in that regard.
