I am very excited about being at Washburn University School of Law. My goal is to teach students about the law, and about lawyering, in a way that will serve them well throughout their careers.

Amy Deen Westbrook's teaching and research focus on financial, international, and transactional subjects. Her current endeavors focus on various anti-corruption initiatives, particularly whistleblower bounty programs. She also continues her longstanding work relating to executive compensation, as well as her research into director fiduciary duties.

In her previous position at the University of Buffalo Law School, Professor Westbrook taught courses on international finance, securities regulation, international trade, the North American Free Trade Agreement, acquisition transactions, and transactional practice. She also served as the Director of the University of Buffalo New York City Program in International Finance and Law. Professor Westbrook was awarded the Jacob B. Hyman Outstanding Faculty Award, presented to her by the Class of 2002 Students of Color, for her encouragement and contribution to their success in law school. She also received the Class of 2001 Faculty Award while at Buffalo in appreciation of her outstanding service and dedication.

Professor Westbrook is Director of the Business and Transactional Law Center.
