The law school at Washburn is a community of people who like and help each other. I love going to work every day in such a supportive environment. The best institutions change in subtle ways over time, and I always look forward to meeting each year's new group of students who will continue to shape the vibrant Washburn community.
Professor Glashausser received his bachelor's degree from Harvard College in 1990 and his law degree from Duke University School of Law in 1995. Following graduation from Harvard, he traveled to Tokyo, Japan, where he studied at the Yoshida Institute of Japanese Language and taught English. Subsequently, Professor Glashausser studied the Japanese legal system at Santa Clara University School of Law's Institute of International and Comparative Law, in Tokyo, and interned at the Ishii Law Office.
While at Duke University, Glashausser was the recipient of the H.M. Johnson Memorial Writing Prize. He was also Executive Editor of Duke Law Journal.
After graduating from law school, Glashausser clerked for the Honorable Albert J. Engel, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He served as a litigation associate for Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP and taught as an adjunct at Ohio State University College of Law before coming to Washburn in the fall of 1999.
