Extracurricular Activities

In addition to our broad range of family law courses offered at Washburn Law, students have significant opportunities to enrich their education through valuable activities and interactions with family law professionals who are leaders in the field.

  • Scholars and Practitioners in Residence from all law disciplines spend time at Washburn Law teaching classes and meeting with students in small groups. Additional workshops and Lunch and Learn opportunities take place continuously throughout the year and offer students insight to important allied disciplines such as sociology and psychology.
  • Dynamic student associations meet regularly and routinely offer programming that enhance our students' knowledge and help develop additional practical skills.
  • The Children and Family Law Student Society is open to all law students interested in practicing family law.

The breadth of Washburn Law extracurricular activities enriches the educational experience by providing opportunities for students to interact with exceptional legal practitioners through programming, lectures, and discussion.
