Extracurricular Activities

The advocacy program at Washburn Law combines extensive curriculum with innovative practical skills development to enrich the educational experience of our students and prepare them for modern day law practice.

  • Center for Excellence in Advocacy mentorships, court observation opportunities, seminars, lectures, skills training courses, live-client clinics and externship placements provide diverse opportunities for students to acquire strong advocacy skills.
  • Scholars and Practitioners in Residence from all law disciplines spend time at Washburn Law teaching classes and meeting with students in small groups. Additional workshops and Lunch and Learn opportunities take place continuously throughout the year and offer students insight to important allied disciplines.
  • Dynamic student associations meet regularly and routinely offer programming that enhance our students' knowledge and help develop additional practical skills.
