Dean Dempsey-Swopes was previously Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Washburn University, in which she was the senior administrator providing oversight of student diversity programs, academic disability accommodations, and military education benefit certifications. She coordinated the Campus Climate/WU Inclusive Network and served as a student organization advisor and mentor. In Washburn’s Department of Political Science, Dean Dempsey-Swopes taught Administrative Law and Politics, Managing Disputes and Conflict, and Legal Issues in Public Service.
