Washburn University School of Law’s 2014 graduates were ahead of most of their peers in gaining employment in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar passage.

For 2014 graduate employment in positions requiring passage of the bar exam, Washburn Law was 24th nationwide, using American Bar Association (ABA) data, according to The National Law Journal.  This placed Washburn Law in the top 12 percent of the 205 ABA-approved law schools.

"Job offers straight out of law school aren’t unusual for Washburn graduates, and recent data indicate the school was one of the best both regionally and nationally last year in terms of immediate job outcomes for its graduates," according to an article in the Topeka Capital-Journal.

“We are pleased that our graduates are among the nation’s most successful in securing full-time, long-term jobs that require bar passage. This is the gold standard of jobs for lawyers,” said Washburn Law Dean Thomas R. Romig. “Washburn Law has been expanding its efforts and programs to put our graduates in the best position to secure employment. This ranking affirms the Law School’s continued dedication to ensuring that our graduates are practice-ready and it is a vote of confidence in the quality of a Washburn Law degree.”
