How To Register Online for Wireless Access
Wireless access in the School of Law is provided through the wireless network operated by Information Systems and Services (ISS) at Washburn University.
- The wireless network at Washburn is an 802.11g network.
- The first time a browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox) is opened on a non-registered wireless device the user will be prompted to register the device.
- If the registration page does not appear, type http://netreg.washburn.edu in the address line of the browser.
- You will need to know your MyWashburn User Name and password to register a device.
- Read and complete the wireless registration form; click 'Accept' to finalize the registration.
- Restart the wireless device. After restarting, the device should be able to access the internet.
- Only two wireless devices may be registered per person per semester.
- Antivirus software should be installed on your computer.
- Wireless printers on law library 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors are available only to law students.
- Campus wireless is reset at the beginning of each semester. Registration is required the first time a wireless device is used after the reset date.
- More information about wireless at Washburn University can be found in ISS' Wireless Network Connections Quickfacts document (15 KB PDF) (includes Wireless Coverage of Campus Buildings on page 2) and the Wireless Quick Help Guide (55 KB PDF) (each requires Adobe Acrobat Reader).
