Wireless Access - FAQ

Questions

What kind of wireless card do I need for my laptop?
Any card that complies with the 802.11b/g standard should work. Washburn recommends wireless cards from LinkSys.
Many laptops now have internal wireless cards.
How do I register my laptop?
It says I have a connection, but I can't get on the internet! What do I do?
It is possible that your computer has "found" another wireless network (such as someone else's computer which has been incorrectly configured or somebody's home network from a house across the street).
It is also possible that your computer may be trying to access the network as a "Peer-to-Peer" network. Without getting technical, this is wrong. Please contact Jewel Makda is you are experiencing connection problems.
