Wireless Access - FAQ
Questions
- What kind of wireless card do I need for my laptop?
- Any card that complies with the 802.11b/g standard should work. Washburn recommends wireless cards from LinkSys.
- Many laptops now have internal wireless cards.
- How do I register my laptop?
- It says I have a connection, but I can't get on the internet! What do I do?
- It is possible that your computer has "found" another wireless network (such as someone else's computer which has been incorrectly configured or somebody's home network from a house across the street).
- It is also possible that your computer may be trying to access the network as a "Peer-to-Peer" network. Without getting technical, this is wrong. Please contact Jewel Makda is you are experiencing connection problems.
