Washburn Law Hosts U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces
Students had the opportunity to observe a federal hearing when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces heard the case of United States v. Edward S. Macomber in the Robinson Courtroom and Bianchino Technology Center on October 21, 2008.
The Court visited Washburn Law as part of its Project Outreach. Washburn was invited to file and argue an amicus brief on behalf of the appellant. Washburn students Kimberly M.J. Lynch, E. Lee Oliver and Mark Coulter prepared the brief, and Mark Coulter argued on behalf of the appellant during the hearing.
The judges, shown left to right, were Judge Stucky, Judge Baker, Chief Judge Effron, Judge Erdmann, and Judge Ryan.
