Government

Given its proximity to the State Capitol, Kansas Judicial Center, Frank Carlson Federal Courthouse, and numerous state agencies, Washburn Law is ideally situated to offer unique and varied opportunities to learn about lawmaking, judicial decision-making, administrative law, and the regulatory process.

Law and government studies at Washburn Law prepare highly qualified public servants for a range of careers associated with local, state, and federal government or public policy. The core curriculum includes courses such as Legislation, Administrative Law, Local Government, and Federal Indian Law. The Robert J. Dole Center for Law and Government provides our students expanded opportunities for public service. Washburn Law offers a certificate in concentrated studies of law and government.
