General Policy on Use of Cameras in the Classroom

The placement, use, and operation of video or still cameras in any Washburn University School of Law classroom are contingent upon faculty approval and subject to faculty supervision. Advance written approval must be provided by the faculty member responsible for any class or law school activity before any segment of a class or other activity may be viewed or recorded on camera. If a faculty member wishes to use classroom cameras for teaching purposes, the faculty member shall obtain written approval from every student attending the class or other activity before the faculty member may authorize the use and operation of cameras in the classroom. In no event shall cameras ever be focused upon any student or group of students without securing advance written approval from the student or students.
