2010 John F. Kuether Memorial Golf Tournament

The 12th annual John F. Kuether Memorial Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Washburn Student Bar Association, was held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Lake Shawnee Golf Course in Topeka, Kansas. Twenty-four teams and 93 students, alumni, and friends of Washburn Law joined together for a round of golf, lunch, socializing, and awarding of prizes. The winning 2-person team, shooting 56 on a par 70 course, was comprised of Washburn Law alums Douglas Taylor, '08, and Blake Gibson, '08. Proceeds help to fund the John F. Kuether Memorial Endowed Scholarship which provides assistance to students at Washburn University School of Law. "The students did a great job organizing this tournament," said Joel Lauer, Director of Advancement at Washburn Law. "It's wonderful to have students raise funds to help continue the Washburn Law legacy. It really shows the Washburn Law Family at work. My team had a couple of recent graduates who helped organize the tournament when they were students."

The tournament committee members for the 2010 event were Bryna Long (chair), Laura Coughlin (co-chair), and Morgan Richards. (Learn more about John Kuether.)
