Legal Writing Program Again Ranked as One of Best in Nation
U.S. News and World Report released its 2011 law school rankings last week. Washburn moved up in the rankings, and its Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing Program was ranked 17th among all law schools.
Legal writing is a strength of Washburn Law, and it is a critically important skill for successful lawyers.
"Employers place a high value on legal writing skills when considering candidates," said Margann Bennett, Director of Professional Development. "A Washburn Law education ensures students' skills will be top-notch."
Highlights of the Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing Program at Washburn Law include:
- Focus on preparing students for the actual practice of law

In addition to the U.S. News and World Report ranking, Washburn Law has received a number of accolades this year. A few of these honors include:
