Attorneys Discuss Surrogacy Practice
Laura Shaneyfelt and Rachael Pirner spoke with students at a special Children and Family Law Center luncheon on Monday, March 7, 2005. Their talk centered on surrogacy and the many issues that arise during a surrogacy relationship. Surrogacy can be a much more successful alternative to adoption. There is a lower chance of one party backing out, because parties are involved with each other from the very beginning of the process.
Both speakers practice at firms in Wichita, Kansas. Ms. Shaneyfelt represents the interests of the surrogate mother. Her practice at Hulnick Law Offices, P.A. also focuses on conducting legal research, drafting pre-trial and post-trial motions and briefs and handling the firm's appellate cases. Ms. Pirner represents intended parents in surrogacy matters. Her practice at Triplett, Woolf & Garretson, LLC also includes Civil and Business Litigation, Natural Resources and Environmental Law, and Probate Litigation.
