Dennis R. Honabach Appointed Dean At Washburn Law
Washburn University's Board of Regents named Dennis R. Honabach as Dean of the School of Law, effective July 1, 2001, at their April 11, 2001 meeting. Honabach will succeed James M. Concannon, who has served as Dean since 1988. Concannon will return to full-time teaching duties at Washburn.

Honabach previously was a member of the faculties of Vermont Law School, Rutgers University-Camden School of Law, and the University of the District of Columbia School of Law, where he also served as Associate Dean of Education. He received his A.B. degree in Economics in 1970 from Bucknell University and his J.D. from Yale University in 1973. He practiced with the firm of Kirkpatrick, Lockhart, Johnson & Hutchinson in Pittsburgh.
He has taught primarily in the areas of Agency and Partnership, Contracts, Corporations, Torts and Commercial Law. He is co-author with Mark Sargent of two books published by West Group, Proxy Rules Handbook and D&O Liability Handbook and is the author of numerous law review articles.
