Second-year Washburn student Eric Kraft received the Top Oralist Award in the Giles S. Rich Intellectual Property Law Moot Court Competition at Suffolk Law School in Boston March 20-22. Second-year student Scott Liljegren received the second-place award for Best Oralist. The Washburn team reached the semi-final round of that competition.
Kraft is from Greensburg, Kansas and is a graduate of Wichita State University. He was the 1997 winner of the Jurcyk-Royle Oral Advocacy Competition for first year students. Liljegren is from Gladstone, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia. He has been accepted to the U.S. Navy J.A.G. Corps upon his May, 1999 graduation. Patricia Voth, '98, a Washburn University graduate from Goessel, Kansas, was team captain.
