Duties:

  1. Acquisitions Duties:
    1. Assists in the selection of electronic and print resources for the library.
    2. Coordinates with vendors in scheduling presentations. Communicates with the Law faculty and staff regarding training and presentations.

  2. Reference Duties:
    1. Maintain the library's Electronic Resources Page.
    2. Maintain several pages on WashLaw.
    3. Staffs the Reference Desk, providing individualized assistance, and instruction.
    4. Provides reference assistance as needed during the day.
    5. Provides on-call reference assistance on Sunday or in the evening.

  3. Classroom Duties:
    1. Spearheads providing individualized classroom technology instruction to faculty. Coordinates with the Instructional Technologist, Associate Dean for Computer Services, Law Library Administrator, Circulation Department Head, Law School Development. Coordinates with vendors.
    2. Maintains classrooms, the courtroom, and videoconferencing rooms in a state of readiness. Provides routine classroom maintenance checks associated with these duties. Coordinates with the Computer Coordinator and Network Administrator to ensure optimum classroom functionality. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and conducting regular digital video and audio recording, maintaining streaming videos on network databases, maintaining streaming videos and access to streaming videos on network, maintaining and installing numerous technology related hardware components associated with classroom technology.
    3. Communicates with the faculty regarding changes in instructional technology. Provides individualized training on equipment for the faculty. Coordinates and schedules the use of videoconferencing facilities. Designs and maintains web pages to distribute information.

  4. Circulation Duties:
    1. Knows Circulation procedures and policies and the library automated catalog, including checking library materials out and in, renewal, patron records, production of notices, and creating lists.
    2. Observes and enforces library policies and guidelines and proposes new rules as required.
    3. Provides assistance and supervision at the Circulation Desk daily and as needed in the absence of the Circulation Librarian.
