Special Collections
The Law Library has several substantial and unique collections. Law Library staff have been responsible for maintaining the Kansas Supreme and Appeals Courts published opinions since October 25, 1996 and the Opinions of the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals from October 1, 1997 on the Internet.
The library also maintains an extensive collection of Briefs of the Kansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. The collection of briefs of the Kansas Supreme Court date from 1966. Briefs of the Kansas Appeals Court date from 1977. Request briefs at the Reference Desk by docket number.
A substantial collection of US Supreme Court Autographs from Justices present at the birth of the nation to those presently occupying the bench is also housed in the Law Library.
Special microfiche collections include:
- Records and Briefs of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1974 to present
- Research materials from the American Bar Association, Council of State Governments, American Law Institute, and National Conference of Commissioners on UniformState Laws
- N.R.C. Wolf Creek Generation Station documents.
