The following activities are at locations other than Washburn Law.
Friday — 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm — Dinner and Opening Ceremonies
Capitol Plaza Hotel, Emerald Ballroom
- Directions from Washburn Law to Capitol Plaza Hotel:
- Go north from the law school parking lot to 17th Street.
- Turn right (east) on 17th Street.
- Go east past Washburn Avenue (.4 miles) and continue to Topeka Boulevard (.7 miles).
- Turn right (south) on Topeka Boulevard.
- Go south to the Kansas Expocentre entrance (approximately .2 miles).
- Turn right (west).
- The Capitol Plaza Hotel is on the right.
Saturday — 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm — Optional Tours
Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site
- Directions from Washburn Law to Brown v. Board of Education NHS:
- Go north from the law school parking lot to 17th Street.
- Turn right (east) on 17th Street.
- Go east past Washburn Avenue (.4 miles).
- Continue east past Topeka Boulevard (another .7 miles).
- Continue east past Kansas Avenue (another .25 miles).
- Just past Monroe Street (approximately .15 miles) turn left into the visitor parking lot for the national historic site.
