Other Information
Effective with the May 2007 release, HeinOnline (HOL) includes has a new user interface. All URLs remain the same in HOL. The new interface does not affect any links currently embedded in catalogs. No changes are needed to links in individual catalogs.
Effective with release 2005-8, HeinOnline (HOL) includes links to external journals. External journals are not stored on the Hein servers. Rather, HOL provides a table of contents list for each volume and a link to the fulltext on the host server. 'External journals' are indicated in the Cataloging Aid by the the notation '[External To HeinOnline].'

Overview
The HeinOnline Cataloging Aid assists libraries by
- identifying appropriate bibliographic records from OCLC and
- providing a mechanism to add links to records in a local online system, allowing users of a library's catalog to click a link and access the electronic version of a title in HeinOnline.
For libraries utilizing Innovative Interfaces Proxy Rewrite the Cataloging Aid also provides a method to customize URLs and facilitate off-campus access to users.
Cataloging aids are available for the following HeinOnline libraries:
- Law Journals
- U.S. Presidential
- U.S. Attorney General
- U.S. Supreme Court
- Treaties and Agreements
- Legal Classics (includes MARC records)
- World Trials (MARC records for first release only)
