"I am very excited about being at Washburn University School of Law. My goal is to teach students about the law, and about lawyering, in a way that will serve them well throughout their careers."

Amy Deen Westbrook's teaching and research focus on financial, international, and transactional subjects. Her current work includes an analysis of whether U.S. securities laws require disclosure of companies' operations in state sponsors of terrorism. She also continues her long-standing work on legal education for transactional practice.

In her previous position at the University of Buffalo Law School, Professor Westbrook taught courses on international finance, securities regulation, international trade, the North American Free Trade Agreement, acquisition transactions, and transactional practice. She also served as the Director of the University of Buffalo New York City Program in International Finance and Law. Professor Westbrook was awarded the Jacob B.
