Joseph E. McKinney
Visiting Professor of Law

Photograph: Joseph McKinney."For many years I have been interested in the process of educating professionals, whether aviators, accountants or lawyers. Professionals have a particular challenge: they must acquire and maintain the intellectual knowledge which their professions demand while applying that knowledge to their clients' practical situations as efficiently and economically as they can - and this is no easy task. This marriage of the intellectual with the practical is what I find particularly interesting. When Washburn University School of Law afforded me the chance to participate in its mission of educating lawyers - first as an adjunct professor of law and later as a visiting professor - I was very happy to do so."
