Professor Williams served as Human Resources Manager for the City of Topeka before joining Washburn Law. Prior to that, she was assistant general counsel for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. where she advised on equal employment opportunity laws and employment practices, diversity relations and human resource issues.
She worked in private practice as an associate attorney for Holland & Hart, LLP, and Dorsey & Whitney LLP, both located in Denver.
After graduating cum laude from law school, she served as trial attorney for the Tax Division Honor's Program, U.S. Department of Justice, and was a judicial law clerk to The Honorable Wiley Y. Daniel, U.S. District Court, Denver.
In law school she served as executive publications editor for the Howard Law Journal.
