Professor Rhee's legal experience includes positions as a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and a trial attorney in the Honors Program of the U.S. Department of Justice. He also has significant investment banking experience. He was a vice president in the corporate finance group at Swiss Re in New York, and an associate in the European mergers and acquisitions group at UBS Warburg in London. Professor Rhee has published articles in the fields of torts, insurance, capital markets and bargaining in the Emory Law Journal, University of Colorado Law Review, Florida Law Review, Arizona State Law Journal, Virginia Environmental Law Journal, and St. John's Law Review. He was born in Seoul, Korea, immigrated to the United States in 1972, and is a native Baltimorean.
Professor Rhee moved to the University of Maryland School of Law in fall 2007.
