Professor Christensen became director of the Washburn Law Library in 1979 and helped bring it into the information age. Today, Washburn Law enjoys a national reputation for leadership in the use of Internet and information technology to support legal research. The Washburn Law Library catalog was one of the first web-based catalogs of any law school in the world. The WashLaw Web is one of the premier legal Internet research services available to a worldwide audience of practicing and academic legal experts.

Prior to joining the Washburn Law faculty, Professor Christensen was a law librarian and instructor at the University of Texas School of Law and a law clerk for Justice J. Allan Crockett of the Utah Supreme Court. He is a member of the Utah State Bar and the American Association of Law Libraries.
