The Washburn University School of Law Library is pleased to announce availability of a mobile computer lab that can be used for training sessions, class meetings, and workshops.

The mobile lab consists of 20 Dell Latitude D600 laptop computers configured with Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, and Access. Wordperfect 9 is also available. CheckCite, Full Authority, WestCheck, and WestCiteLink are also installed on each laptop along with links to each vendor's website. Adobe Reader 7.0 provides access to PDF files.

Laptops automatically connect to the Washburn University wireless network for instant Internet access from anywhere in the law school building.

Each laptop includes a battery-saving Pentium M CPU with 512MB of RAM, a 14.1 inch screen, a 40GB hard drive, an estimated 3.5 hour battery life, and a CD-RW drive.

The 20 laptops and cart are considered a single piece of equipment. Only the entire cart may be reserved and scheduled-- individual laptops from the cart cannot be checked out.

If you need special software, please contact Barbara Ginzburg far enough in advance of use to allow installation.
