Join the Washburn University School of Law Thursday, Sept. 17 and Friday, Sept. 18 as we host the 2026 Great Plains Environmental Law Summit and launch our newly renamed center for excellence: the Center for Resources, Energy and Environmental Law (CREEL). The first environmental law center in the state of Kansas, CREEL is excited to host this event for practicing environmental lawyers, students, faculty and strategic partners featuring renowned environmental scholars from across the United States. Attendees will engage in thought-provoking discussions, networking opportunities and collaborative experiences designed to explore the future of natural resources, energy and environmental law.
The Summit begins with a cocktail reception and dinner Thursday evening, followed by a full day of programming on Friday featuring industry experts from around the country serving as panelists across four sessions. The event will be held at Robert J. Dole Hall, 2073 SW Washburn Terrace in Topeka.
