Justice Johnson Administers Oath to Clinic Interns
Justice Lee A. Johnson, the newest member of the Kansas Supreme Court, accepted the Law Clinic's invitation to administer the oath to interns on August 23, 2007.
The Swearing-In Ceremony is held at the beginning of every semester and marks the start of the interns' careers as attorneys. Interns practice under Rule 709 of the Kansas Supreme Court and are held to the same standards as those who have passed the bar and are practicing law. The Law Clinic is fortunate that the local judiciary supports its mission.
