What'd You Say?

During the interview for my current job, my boss pointed out that having Clinic experience was important and helpful, and a big reason why she wanted to interview me. I already know what pleadings should look like, I've been in court before, and I've met with clients and dealt with opposing counsel. Having already done these things made it so much easier to do them at my new job. I'm grateful that the shock value of being a first timer in court was while I was a student. Further, the work I did in the Clinic is the same work I'm doing at my new job as part of a domestic litigation firm.
Truth is, I didn't realize exactly how valuable my Clinic experience was until I started working.
