Jeff Heinrich's (Class of 2002) Clinic Experience Still Paying Off
Jeff Heinrich, Spring 2002 graduate, sent the following e-mail to Professor Lynette Petty. It is re-printed here with Jeff's permission.
"Prof. Petty,
I couldn't resist bugging you one last time to tell you how my clinic experience has been so helpful. Last night, one of the partners came to my office and told me that one of our big clients had just been subpoenaed to turn over a bunch of confidential documents. He wanted me to look up the procedure on how business records from third parties could be subpoenaed! I think I made some brownie points when I was able to rattle off the statute number and explain the procedure right then. All this time I was cussing [Clinic client's] ex-husband and now his lack of cooperation came through for me. Thanks again.
