Family Law Student Society 2006-2007 Coordinators

Photograph: Amy Coppola.Amy Coppola is a third year law student. She moved from the East Coast to Kansas in 1996. Amy has experience interning for Topeka Social and Rehabilitative Services as a facilitator for Family Group Decision Making while obtaining her BSW from the University of Kansas. She currently serves as a CASA volunteer, as well as the Student Editor-in-Chief for the Family Law Quarterly. She is currently clerking for the Law Firm of Tenopir and Huerter.

Photograph: Kerrie Lonard.Kerrie Lonard is a third year law student originally from Olathe, Kansas. Kerrie received her bachelors of social work from the University of Kansas and went on to Washburn University where she completed a masters in social work. She worked as a school social worker with children and families in both regular and special education. Kerrie served on a county children’s coalition and as the school district’s homeless liaison. She also has work experience in the areas of domestic violence, foster care, and community supports for adults with persistent mental illness. Kerrie spent the Spring 2006 semester interning for a Kansas State Senator. Kerrie currently serves as a CASA volunteer and spent her summer after her second year of law school as an intern with Kansas Legal Services, working primarily on their domestic cases. During the 2006 Fall semester, Kerrie will be a legal intern for the Washburn Law Clinic, specializing in children and family issues.
