Advocate in Residence
The Advocate in Residence program allows students to meet highly skilled trial and appellate lawyers who can guide and mentor them along the pathways to a career in advocacy. The Advocate in Residence meets with students and faculty in the classroom, the school courtroom and around the campus during a weeklong visit that includes demonstrating advocacy skills, discussing the theory and practice of advocacy and lecturing on important current advocacy topics. The Advocate in Residence also meets with trial and appellate moot court team members and clinical students to help them hone their advocacy skills.
The following have visited Washburn Law as part of the Advocate in Residence program:
- June Jeffries - Fall 2007
- Sean D. O'Brien - Spring 2005
