Centennial Celebration

Thru the Years: 1993-2003

Under the leadership of an outstanding faculty and staff, Washburn University School of Law continues to thrive. The school was selected to publish the Family Law Quarterly for the ABA Family Law Section, providing a second law journal editing opportunity for students.

In April, 1994, the National Jurist conducted a survey that asked student perceptions of faculty, facilities, and quality of life - Washburn Law ranked 1st. They ranked second during the same survey in 1996. To continue this tradition of excellence, Dennis R. Honabach became the 17th dean of the school. During January 2003, five of the seven Kansas Supreme Court justices were Washburn Law alumni.

The Bianchino Technology Center was dedicated October, 2002. The Bianchino Technology Center is in the Robinson courtroom and provides students and faculty with state-of-the-art technology and an environment suitable for 21st century practice.

On September 18, 2003, Washburn University School of Law kicked off their three-year "Centennial Celebration."
