
Washburn University School of Law celebrated its 100 year Centennial with a Centennial Gala Event on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the Westin Crown Center, in Kansas City. Over 400 people attended including alumni, faculty, staff, students, friends of the law school and Kansas dignitaries. The evening included a cocktail reception and keynote address from Senator Robert J. Dole, Class of 1952. Following Dole's keynote address was dinner and a program with remarks from Dr. Jerry Farley, President of Washburn University; Bernie Bianchino, Class of 1974, President of the Washburn Law School Association Board of Governors and Dennis Honabach, Dean of Washburn University School of Law. Distinguished Professor of Law Linda Henry Elrod, Class of 1972, was the Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening. After the program ended, music was provided by LiverPool for everyone's dancing enjoyment.
