Distinguished Alumni Recognition
Selection Process
- The Alumni Association Board of Governors selects 12 distinguished alumni each year.
- Nominations may be made throughout the year by submitting the online nominations form.
- Nominations for the next calendar year are due by December 31.
- The Board's Distinguished Alumni Committee reviews submissions.
- If fewer than 12 nominations are received the Committee will determine additional nominees.
- Nominations are presented to the Board of Governors for review and approval.
- Information and photographs of alumni selected for recognition will be published in spring/summer issue of The Washburn Lawyer and will also be displayed on the monitor in the Washburn Law lobby.
The Distinguished Alumni Recognition was established in 2007 by the Washburn University School of Law Alumni Association Board of Governors. This program recognizes distinguished alumni and highlights the wide variety of careers that demonstrate the diversity of Washburn Law alumni. It is also serves to bring to the attention of students and the public the diverse, outstanding individuals who have graduated from Washburn Law.
