Meet Admissions Staff

Yolanda Ingram, Assistant to the Dean, Director of Admissions, has ten years of experience as the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, the Director of the Conditional Admissions Program, and the Director of the Academic Support Program for the University of Memphis School of Law. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in English. Yolanda graduated with honors in 1995 from Washburn University School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the Washburn Law Journal. Prior to her position at the University of Memphis, Yolanda was an Associate at Polsinelli, White, Vardeman & Shalton in Kansas City, Missouri; a Legal Writing Instructor at Temple University School of Law; a Judicial Law Clerk for Jackson County Circuit Court in Kansas City; and an Account Manager & Trainer for Thomson Reuters. Janessa Akin is the Assistant Director of Admissions. She previously worked at the Kansas Bar Association, where she served as the Public Services Manager and a Continuing Legal Education Program Planner.
