Financial Aid

Financial aid and student loans at Washburn are administered through the University's Financial Aid Office.

If you are interested in receiving federal financial aid or Federal Stafford Loans at Washburn University, you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by going on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov and coding in Washburn's school code number of 001949. It is recommended that you apply for the FAFSA PIN at www.pin.ed.gov and use your PIN to complete the FAFSA.

First year law students will need to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) in order to receive Federal Stafford Loans.

Deadlines for Financial Aid

Priority deadlines for law financial aid processing are:

  • April 1 for fall semester start and
  • November 1 for any spring (i.e., January) start.

These deadlines will allow additional time for a federal process called verification which could add up to three weeks processing time.
